Award winners at DSP Spring Symposium 2024
The DSP Spring Symposium offers two young scientist awards; one for best poster and one for best oral presentation.
The annual DSP Spring Symposium 2024 took place on 19 April welcoming the DSP and DSTMI members in the Grand Lecture Hall for a day filled with lectures, poster exhibition, discussions, and social interaction among peers.
The symposium always awards to prizes to our young scientists; the best poster award and the best oral presentation. This year the best poster award went to Kaan Kumas for the poster: Kumas et al. Methods to eliminate of Anisakis simplex third stage larvae from Atlantic herring Clupea harengus L. Kaan is working with Professor Kurt Buchmann at the AQUA research group.
The award for the best oral presentation went to Tiem van der Deure. Tiem is doing his PhD with the research group PARAENVI under supervision of Associate Professor Anna-Sofia Stensgaard. Tiems presentation: van der Deure et al. Present and future climatic suitability of Anopheles mosquitoes in Africa.
Congratulations to the awardees and to section for Parasitology and Aquatic Pathobiology where they both work.
