Exchange Students
Exchange students are students enrolled at universities with which the University of Copenhagen and/or the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences have exchange agreements.
The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences has many partnerships and exchange agreements around the world. Agreements made at faculty level are programme specific; you can find a list of our current agreements below.
Please note, that certain study programmes only accepts students from the faculty’s programme specific agreements and not from the university wide agreements.

The university’s course catalogue is available online and here you can find information on credits, prerequisites and detailed course descriptions.
Please note, that we can only assist you with courses where the contracting faculty is the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.

Projects
To a limited extend, individual research projects are an option for exchange students studying pharmaceutical sciences, veterinary medicine and animal science.
Make sure you study the faculty’s research groups for relevant projects.
Clinical Rotations
Clinical rotations are available for students of medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine. Specific information can be found below.
The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences offers a mentor programme for newly arrived exchange students to help you off to a good start in Copenhagen.
We match you with current students at the faculty to help you get the best start to your studies and life in Copenhagen.
The mentor programme arranges both cultural and social activities during the semester that you can sign up for.
Besides the many activities, the mentors help exchange students with e.g.:
- Getting settled in Copenhagen
- Welcome events
- Meeting local students and other international students
- Expanding your social and academic network
You will receive information about how to sign up for a mentor, once you have been admitted as an exchange student.
Please note, that the mentor programme only is for semester exchange students nominated by the faculty's partner universities or UCPH partners.
The mentors organise a welcome event for incoming exchange students a few days before the beginning of each semester.
The meeting gives you an opportunity to meet other exchange students and provides you with practical information to help you get off to a good start on your studies.
The meeting includes, among other, a presentation of:
- UCPH IT systems and KUnet (UPCH intranet)
- Studenterhuset (the centre for student activities)
- Erasmus Student Network (ESN)
You will receive and invitation and additional details about the welcome days before the start of the semester.
